Pokemon Rejuvenation Items & Moves — Field Effects, Crests & TMs
Everything about Pokemon Rejuvenation items and moves: how to learn moves (move relearner, move tutor, TMs, heart scales), what field effects and crests do, and where the mega stones, Omni Ring and other key items fit in (as of V14).
Item Categories at a Glance
Rejuvenation uses the classic item families — poké balls, evolution stones, held items and key items — plus a few fan-game originals. This table groups the most-searched items so you know which family your question belongs to:
| Category | What they do / notes | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Evolution stones | Evolve specific species (e.g. moon stone for the Clefairy/Nidoran lines); earned through story, shops and the wild. | Moon Stone, Dawn Stone, Sun Stone — evolves the |
| Poké Balls | Master Ball is the guaranteed catch; the Xen Ball is a special capture ball tied to the Xen storyline. | Master Ball, Xen Ball |
| Held items | Eviolite boosts unevolved pokemon defenses; Flame Orb burns the holder; heart scales are the classic move-relearning currency. | Eviolite, Flame Orb, Heart Scales, crests |
| Mega items | The Omni Ring enables mega evolution; each mega pokemon needs its own stone (Ampharosite, etc.). | Omni Ring, mega stones |
| Key items | Progression tools: coin case for Game Corner coins, golden tools replace HMs, rods for fishing, cell imprint tracks Zygarde cells, field notes document the 50 fields. | Coin Case, Golden Tools, Rods, Cell Imprint, Field Notes, Exp. All |
| Move-learning items | The classic move-teaching toolbox: heart scales pay the move relearner, TMs and move tutors teach coverage. | TMs, Heart Scales |
| AP shop goods | Bought with Ability Points at the AP Center; lets you swap a pokemon's ability. | Ability Capsule |
| Passwords | Start-of-game codes that hand you key items early — full list on the passwords page. | omniring, easyhms, freeexpall, powerpack |
Item availability shifts between versions; treat version-specific drop spots as wiki-checked for V14.
How to Teach Moves: Relearner, Tutor, TMs and More
There are several ways to get the moves you want in Rejuvenation, and knowing them all saves you from re-raising a whole team:
- Move relearner — the classic service that lets a pokemon recall moves it has forgotten, usually for a fee or heart scales. Every major city has one as the story opens up.
- Move tutor — teaches specific moves that are often exclusive to tutoring; tutors appear at fixed spots and some are tied to quests.
- TMs — the bread and butter of teambuilding; moves like dark pulse and fire blast are common TM targets for coverage.
- Starter move tutor / starter ball tutors — special tutors that teach your starter (or starters in balls) signature options; a popular question for early-game planning.
- Heart scales — the classic currency for move relearning; farm them from wild Luvdisc-style encounters or specific items.
- Custom moves — Rejuvenation lets you customize a move's properties in some content; details vary by version.
- Infinite Potential — a late-game service that unlocks a pokemon's full potential (stat potential), worth planning around for serious teams.
If you are choosing your starter around a movepool, remember that the starter move tutor is available early and can patch coverage gaps until TMs catch up.
Field Effects: The Battle Environment (50 Fields as of V14)
Field effects are Rejuvenation's signature battle mechanic: the environment of a battle changes how moves, abilities and even items behave. As of V14 there are 50 different fields, grouped into four families:
- Elemental Fields — Electric Terrain, Grassy Terrain, Misty Terrain, Volcanic Field, Icy Field, Water Surface, Underwater, Murkwater Surface, Dragon's Den, Sky Field, Infernal Field and more.
- Magical Fields — Crystal Cavern, Rainbow Field, Blessed Field, Fairy Tale Field, Starlight Arena, Psychic Terrain, Haunted Field, Bewitched Woods and more.
- Synthetic Fields — City, Back Alley, Factory Field, Chess Board, Big Top Arena, Glitch Field, Mirror Arena, Concert Venue and more.
- Telluric Fields — Forest Field, Swamp Field, Desert Field, Rocky Field, Cave, Mountain, Snowy Mountain, Beach, Wasteland, Deep Earth and more.
General rules that apply everywhere: only one field is active at a time, but layers can stack (when the top layer ends, the one below takes over); Terrain moves overlay an existing field with reduced effects; moves that gain a secondary type on a field behave like Flying Press for type math; and any damaging move that transforms the field gets a 1.3x power boost.
Field-changing options exist beyond location: the Lycanium Z-move Splintered Stormshards turns the field into Rocky Field for 2 turns, Steel Roller disables the field for 5 turns, and the Intercept Z-move Domain Shift rerolls to a random field — with different pools on the Paragon and Renegade routes (the Renegade pool includes Volcanic, Corrosive and Infernal fields, for example). Players also search for moon field: it's a field on Floria Island near Phasial Cave (reachable via Surf) containing a Dusk Ball, TM127 Beat Up, a Star Piece and a Nest Ball. Some fields are also generated mid-battle by move combos rather than locations, so confirm the exact trigger on the field's wiki page for V14.
Example: City Field
The City Field is a Synthetic field active in most major cities — East Gearen City, West Gearen City and Grand Dream City. A quick reference:
| Effect | Detail |
|---|---|
| Physical Normal moves | 1.5x base power |
| Bug / Poison / Steel moves | 1.3x base power |
| Fairy moves | 0.7x base power — "no place for fairytales" |
| Big Pecks / Early Bird / Pickup / Rattled | Extra Defense / Attack / Speed stage on switch-in |
| Competitive / Download | +3 Sp. Atk / +2 Attack or Sp. Atk when activated |
| Hustle | 75% damage boost but 33% accuracy loss |
| First Impression | 1.5x boost, Normal sub-typing |
| Nature Power / Camouflage | Becomes Smog / user becomes Normal-type |
| Covet / Pursuit / Thief | Transform City into Back Alley |
| Synthetic Seed | Boosts Attack and Accuracy by 1 stage |

Crests: Species-Locked Held Items
Crests are held items unique to Rejuvenation, locked to one species each — like Light Ball or Thick Club, but with fully custom effects. A pokemon holding its own crest gets a battle UI icon, and the crest cannot be removed mid-battle: Trick and similar moves fail, and Knock Off still deals damage but leaves the crest in place. Stat-swap crests (like Magcargo's) swap the fully calculated stats, so EVs invested in Defense become Speed EVs. In battle, stat boosts are not swapped with them — a crested Magcargo using Harden still boosts Defense.
Lore-wise, most crests were created in ancient times at Castle Zygara by King Ieisel using Garufan magic — a ritual that involved sacrifice, which is why the crests are said to contain souls. In modern times, other methods exist: the Castform Crest, for example, is made by a Ranger in Terajuma Jungle who asks for the Hail, Sunny Day and Rain Dance TMs. The Silvally Crest is the odd one out — it works from the bag without being held and changes effect based on the Memory Silvally holds.
| Crest | Effect (summary) | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Magcargo Crest | Swaps Defense and Speed; Sp. Atk +20% | Zorrialyn Labyrinth — 1st Floor |
| Zoroark Crest | Grants the ability and STAB of the copied pokemon | Garufa Sanctuary — behind the Hisuian Zorua |
| Castform Crest | Uses the first weather move it knows; Forecast forms empowered | Weather Institute — from a Ranger (trade Hail/Sunny Day/Rain Dance TMs) |
| Typhlosion Crest | Attack equals Sp. Atk; contact moves do an extra hit | West Gearen City (Virtual League reward) or Route 2 Kecleon's Shop |
| Feraligatr Crest | Damaging first move gets priority; biting moves +50% | West Gearen City (Virtual League reward) or Route 2 Kecleon's Shop |
| Meganium Crest | Reduced damage for team; recovers HP every turn | West Gearen City (Virtual League reward) or Route 2 Kecleon's Shop |
| Empoleon Crest | Ice moves +50%; Speed doubled in Hail/Snow/Ice Fields | Route 11 — Spring Maintenance (reward from Jolene) |
| Infernape Crest | Attack and defensive stats equalized; heals 1/16 Max HP per turn | Goomidra Castle — reward from King Goodroh |
| Dusknoir Crest | Attack +50%; weaker moves boosted | Sashila Village — reward after collecting all Zorrialyn Labyrinth crests |
| Furret Crest | On switch-in, loses 25% Max HP to create a substitute | Teila Resort — Tesla's villa, in your room |
| Luvdisc Crest | Damaging move power matches happiness (caps at 250 BP) | Zorrialyn Labyrinth — 4th Floor (held by a Luvdisc) |
| Beheeyem Crest | Disables an opponent's move when attacked | Strange Shack — needs the Mysterious Key (see collection guide) |
| Ledian Crest | Punches four times at once | Zone Zero — reward from Challenger Venus |
| Silvally Crest | Works from the bag; boosts each held Memory's type | Border World (or Wispy Tower on NG+) |
Most crests go to underused pokemon so they stay viable late-game — a great reason to check the full crest list before you box a favorite.
Mega Evolutions, the Omni Ring and Other Key Mechanics
Mega evolution works with the Omni Ring (Rejuvenation's universal mega device) plus the matching mega stone. You get the Omni Ring through the story, or right away with the omniring password; mega stones are scattered around Aevium and some come from trades — the Ampharosite at Magnolia Library in exchange for an Aevian Budew is one reported trade (as of V14). The pokemon guide covers which pokemon mega evolve.
A few more mechanics players constantly ask about:
- Exp share — the Exp. All key item is obtained during the story; the
freeexpallpassword starts you with a toggleable one. - AP shop — Ability Points from achievements are spent at the AP Center (Chrisola Hotel is one) on passive upgrades and goods like the Ability Capsule.
- Dive and HMs — Rejuvenation replaces HMs with Golden Tools: the
easyhmspassword starts you with all of them. For the question "what item lets you dive" — it is the dive-capable tool from this family, as of V14. - Controls and stats — movement is keyboard/mouse with gamepad support; stat screens and IV/EV visibility are toggled in options (debug tools expose more, see passwords).
- Contracts — optional agreements with certain NPCs (e.g. Mr. Luck) that shape rewards; details are quest-specific as of V14.
- Field Notes — in-game documentation of the fields; the
allfieldapppassword unlocks every entry immediately. - Flash, rods, coin case — classic utility: flash illuminates dark caves (or comes via golden tools), rods unlock fishing, and the coin case lets you hold Game Corner coins.
- Cell imprint and stamps — collection-trackers: the cell imprint tracks Zygarde cells, and stamps are part of the collectible side — see the collection guide.
When in doubt about a specific item's spot in V14, the wiki documents items on each area page rather than one master list — check the page of the area you're exploring, or the wiki link in our Resources hub.
Pokemon Rejuvenation Items & Moves FAQ
What item lets you dive in Pokemon Rejuvenation?
Rejuvenation ditches HMs for Golden Tools — the easyhms password hands you all of them at the start. The dive-capable tool comes from this family; if you are already past the intro, check your key items for the underwater tool (as of V14) or the official wiki's HM replacement list.
How do you get mega stones in Pokemon Rejuvenation?
Find the Omni Ring (story or omniring password), then collect the matching mega stone for each pokemon. Stones appear across the region and through trades — the Ampharosite for an Aevian Budew at Magnolia Library is one reported trade (as of V14). See pokemon guide for which species mega evolve.
Where is the move relearner in Pokemon Rejuvenation?
The move relearner is available in major cities as the story progresses, and heart scales are the classic currency for its services. The wiki lists which Pokemon can learn moves "By Move Relearner"; the exact NPC spot changes between versions — confirm the current one for V14 on the wiki or the community map in our Resources hub.
How do field effects work in Pokemon Rejuvenation?
Every battle has a field (50 as of V14) that boosts or weakens moves, adds secondary typings and changes abilities — e.g. on City Field physical Normal moves hit 1.5x while Fairy moves drop to 0.7x. One field is active at a time but layers stack, and moves that transform the field gain 1.3x power. The allfieldapp password unlocks all Field Notes in-game.
What should I buy at the AP shop in Pokemon Rejuvenation?
The AP shop (AP Center — e.g. the Chrisola Hotel) trades Achievement Points for passive upgrades and items like the Ability Capsule. Buy team-wide upgrades first; hold points for expensive goods until you know your endgame squad.
How do you make stats show in Pokemon Rejuvenation?
Stat visibility is controlled in the game's options (and some versions expose full IV/EV screens through debug tools). As of V14, open the settings menu first — if you still cannot see values, the debug console documented on the official wiki is the fallback.
How do you get the exp share in Pokemon Rejuvenation?
The Exp. All arrives during the main story, and the freeexpall password starts you with a toggleable one — a huge early-game convenience if you are just starting out.
